IRM 2017: Industriales Research Meeting

I have participated in the Industriales Research Meeting 2017 (IRM17), which took place in the school of industrial engineers of Technical University of Madrid on April 4 and 5th 2017. I contributed to this event making a poster and a presentation, which won the award to the best presentation of the meeting.

He participado en el Industriales Research Meeting 2017 (IRM17), que tuvo lugar en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid el 4 y 5 de abril de 2017. He contribuido a este evento con un poster y una presentación, que ganó el premio a la mejor presentación del encuentro.

Airbus PhD day

I have taken part in the 9th Airbus PhD day in the Airbus facilities of Getafe (Spain) on October 20th 2016. During the meeting, I had the oportunity to present my thesis in 3 minutes, as well as to show and explain a poster.

He participado en el 9º Airbus PhD day en las instalaciones de Airbus en Getafe (España) el 20 de octubre de 2016. Durante el evento, he tenido la oportunidad de presentar mi tesis en 3 minutos, así como mostrar y explicar un póster.

ERL Emergency/TRADR Summer School 2016

I have taken part in the ERL Emergency / TRADR Summer School 2016. This course was organized by the euRathlon and TRADR european projects and took place in the University of Oulu (Finland). The aim was the application of heterogeneous multi-robot systems to search and rescue tasks in disaster scenarios. I attended to some interesting lectures about simultaneous location and mapping algorithms, learning in complex robotics systems and planning under uncertainty. Additionally, I had the opportunity to participate with a great team in a multi-robot rescue contest. We had to use an aerial robot to find potential targets in the scenario and two ground robots to visit them and identify the dangerous objects and the possible victims.

He participado en la ERL Emergency / TRADR Summer School 2016. Este curso fue organizado por los proyectos europeos euRathlon y TRADR y tuvo lugar en la Universidad de Oulu (Finlandia). El objetivo fue la aplicación de sistemas multi-robot heterogéneos a las tareas de búsqueda y rescate en entornos de desastre. He asistido a algunas clases interesantes sobre algoritmos de localización y mapeo simultáneos, aprendizaje en sistemas robóticos complejos y planificación bajo incertidumbre. Además, he tenido la oportunidad de participar junto a un gran equipo en un concurso de rescate multi-robot. En este concurso tuvimos que utilizar un robot aéreo para encontrar objetivos potenciales en el escenario y dos robots terrestres para visitarlos e identificar los objetos peligrosos y las posibles víctimas.
